FAQs

What can the MIG225 Package A weld?
Steel to 10mm with MIG, stick and lift TIG, aluminium with the optional spool gun, with helmet, gloves and wire included so the first weld happens the day it lands.
What thickness of steel will it handle?
Up to 10mm mild steel in one pass.
What plug does it run on?
A 15 amp plug, the type with the larger earth pin. Most garages only have 10 amp sockets, and an electrician can add a 15 amp outlet for a modest cost. Running a 200 amp class machine at full output needs that supply.
Gas or gasless?
Both. A 4.5kg spool of gasless multi pass wire is included, and the regulator for gas is in the box.
What is in the box?
The MIG225 machine with MB25 torch, argon regulator, 5kg spool adaptor, earth clamp, electrode holder, both roller sets and gas hose, plus 4.5kg of gasless wire, a Weldco auto darkening helmet with real colour filter and grind mode, and premium welding gloves.
Is it any good for a beginner?
Yes, though it is more machine than a first timer needs. Stepless controls give full say over the arc once you know what you want. Our welding for beginners guide walks through the first jobs.
What warranty does it have?
24 months on the machine through Weldco New Zealand, certified to AS/NZS standards.
Do you deliver NZ-wide?
Yes, to every address in New Zealand. Orders over $200 ship free to most urban addresses. Rural and island addresses may carry a surcharge that shows at checkout. South Island deliveries usually arrive in two working days from dispatch, North Island two to three.
