Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a rechargeable work light run?
Most lights here run 3 to 6 hours on high and two to three times that on low. Head torches with a motion sensor last longer again because they are off between uses. Run time on each setting is listed on the product page.
Can a work light charge my phone?
The power bank models can. They have a USB output, so a 1,000 or 1,500 lumen light doubles as a phone charger on site or in a power cut. Look for power bank in the product name.
Do rechargeable work lights have magnets?
Most do. A magnetic base or back lets you stick the light to a chassis, a steel bench or a car panel and work with both hands. Several here also have a swivel hook and a folding stand.
How bright is a rechargeable work light?
The range runs from 200 lumen head torches up to 1,500 lumen floodlights. 500 lumens is plenty under a bonnet. 1,000 to 1,500 lumens lights a bench or a wheel arch properly.
What charger do they use?
USB, with a cable included, so any phone charger or a vehicle USB port tops them up. Newer models use USB C. Charge time is typically 2 to 4 hours from flat.
