FAQs

What can the MIG200 weld?
Mild steel, stainless and aluminium with the right wire and gas, in MIG, stick or lift TIG. 200 amps and a large LED display make it a step up from the 160 class for anyone welding thicker steel regularly.
What thickness of steel will it handle?
Up to 10mm mild steel, which covers trailer chassis, stock yards, heavy brackets and machinery repairs.
What plug does it run on?
A 15 amp plug, the type with the larger earth pin. Most garages only have 10 amp sockets, and an electrician can add a 15 amp outlet for a modest cost. Running a 200 amp class machine at full output needs that supply.
Gas or gasless?
Both. Gasless flux cored wire needs no bottle and works outdoors in a breeze, with more spatter to clean off. Solid wire with an argon and CO2 mix gives cleaner welds indoors. Most people start gasless and add a bottle later. See our MIG wire range.
What is in the box?
The MIG200 power source, MIG torch, earth clamp and lead, electrode holder. Helmet, gloves and wire are separate, or buy a MIG200 package.
Is it any good for a beginner?

What warranty does it have?
12 months through the New Zealand importer. Keep the receipt as proof of purchase.
Do you deliver NZ-wide?
Yes, to every address in New Zealand. Orders over $200 ship free to most urban addresses. Rural and island addresses may carry a surcharge that shows at checkout. South Island deliveries usually arrive in two working days from dispatch, North Island two to three.
