Your questions answered
FAQs
What can the MIG120 weld?
Light fabrication and repairs on mild steel: gates, trailers, racks, brackets, exhausts and farm fixes. It is Weldco's lightest MIG at 5.4kg, so it goes in the ute or the boot. For 6mm plate or all day use, step up to the MIG160.
What thickness of steel will it handle?
Up to about 4mm mild steel in a single pass, which covers gates, trailers, brackets and shed repairs. It also does stick welding and DC lift TIG with the optional torch.
What plug does it run on?
A standard 10 amp household plug, so it runs off any garage or shed socket. Keep extension leads short and heavy gauge.
Gas or gasless?
It ships set up for gasless flux cored wire on small mini spools, which is the easiest way to start. It will run gas with a regulator added.
What is in the box?
The MIG120 power source, MIG torch, earth clamp and lead. Add a helmet, gloves and wire, or buy the Ready To Weld combo which includes them.
Is it any good for a beginner?
Yes. Synergic setup means you pick the wire size and material thickness and the machine sets voltage and wire speed. Pull the trigger, hold the angle, keep the speed steady. Our welding for beginners guide walks through the first jobs.
What warranty does it have?
12 months through the New Zealand importer. Keep the receipt as proof of purchase.
Do you deliver NZ-wide?
Yes, to every address in New Zealand. Orders over $200 ship free to most urban addresses. Rural and island addresses may carry a surcharge that shows at checkout. South Island deliveries usually arrive in two working days from dispatch, North Island two to three.
