FAQs

What can the MIG160 Package B weld?
MIG on mild steel to 6mm, stick welding and lift TIG, with the machine on a trolley that carries the bottle too. For a workshop where the welder moves around the floor, the trolley earns its place quickly.
What thickness of steel will it handle?
Up to 6mm mild steel in one MIG pass, and 1.6mm to 3.2mm rods in stick mode.
What plug does it run on?
A standard 10 amp household plug, so it runs off any garage or shed socket. Keep extension leads short and heavy gauge.
Gas or gasless?
Both. A 4.5kg spool of gasless multi pass wire is included, with rollers for gas and gasless wire fitted.
What is in the box?
Everything in Package A, the MIG160D machine, torch, leads, gas hose, 4.5kg gasless wire, auto darkening helmet and gloves, plus a three shelf steel welding trolley with a gas bottle platform and chains for D or E size cylinders. Trolley needs assembly.
Is it any good for a beginner?

What warranty does it have?
24 months on the machine through Weldco New Zealand, certified to AS/NZS standards.
Do you deliver NZ-wide?
Yes, to every address in New Zealand. Orders over $200 ship free to most urban addresses. Rural and island addresses may carry a surcharge that shows at checkout. South Island deliveries usually arrive in two working days from dispatch, North Island two to three.
