What can I run on the AC5065P?
Anything, anywhere there is no power: fencing, roofing, farm repairs, tyre work on the road and spray painting in a shed without mains. The 6.5 HP Lifan petrol engine drives a twin piston belt drive pump with an after cooler, so the air is dry enough for painting and tools.
How much air does the AC5065P deliver?
318 litres a minute displacement, which is 207 litres a minute, or 7.3 CFM, of free air at 90 PSI. Enough for an impact wrench, a nailer and a blow gun, or a spray gun in bursts, with one unregulated outlet for full pressure and flow.
How long does the tank take to fill?
A few minutes from empty. Idle control drops the engine speed when the tank is full, which saves fuel and wear.
Can it run continuously?
Yes. Belt drive pumps turn slowly, run cool and have a high duty cycle, and the idle control stops the engine racing when no air is being used. Keep the fuel fresh and check the pump oil like you would a mower.
Does it need oil changes?
Yes. It is an oil-lubricated pump, which is why it runs quieter and cooler than an oil-less unit. Check the sight glass before each use and change the oil after the first 20 hours, then every 100 hours or once a season. Drain the tank after use.
What plug does it need?
None. It is petrol powered, so it runs anywhere. Fill it with 91 unleaded and check the engine and pump oil before each use.
How heavy is it and is it portable?
59kg on wide feet with a handle. Two people lift it onto a ute, or leave it on the tray and run a long hose.
What fittings does it come with?
ARO style quick connect couplers, which are the common standard in New Zealand. Twin outlets mean two tools can be connected at once. Any air hose with an ARO plug clicks straight on. If your existing tools are Nitto, an adaptor sorts it.
