What can I run on the AC10030?
Spray guns, sanders, die grinders and impact wrenches all day. The slow revving belt drive pump, twin pistons and after cooler give drier, cooler air, which is what you want for painting. The 100 litre tank means long runs between pump cycles. This is the compressor for a serious home workshop or a small trade shop.
How much air does the AC10030 deliver?
312 litres a minute displacement, which is 242 litres a minute, or 8.5 CFM, of free air at 90 PSI. That runs a spray gun, a sander or a half inch impact wrench without the pump chasing you.
How long does the tank take to fill?
Around four to five minutes from empty for the full 100 litres, then it holds pressure for a long time between cycles.
Can it run continuously?
Yes, within reason. Belt drive pumps turn at around 1,030 rpm instead of 2,800, so they run cooler, last longer and have a far higher duty cycle than a direct drive unit. Give it a rest if the pump is hot to the touch.
Does it need oil changes?
Yes. It is an oil-lubricated pump, which is why it runs quieter and cooler than an oil-less unit. Check the sight glass before each use and change the oil after the first 20 hours, then every 100 hours or once a season. Drain the tank after use.
What plug does it need?
A standard 10 amp household plug. The 3 HP copper wound motor has thermal overload protection.
How heavy is it and is it portable?
75kg. It is a wheeled workshop compressor that lives in one spot, not something you carry to site. Wheel it on its own wheels, lift it with two people.
What fittings does it come with?
ARO style quick connect couplers, which are the common standard in New Zealand. Twin outlets mean two tools can be connected at once. Any air hose with an ARO plug clicks straight on. If your existing tools are Nitto, an adaptor sorts it.
