What will the PBI9500X run?
A whole house through a changeover switch, including a heat pump, washing machine, fridge, freezer, lights and the jug. On site it runs a welder up to 200 amps, large motors and several power tools at once. Rated at 7,000W continuous and 7,500W peak. This is the model most farms and tradespeople pick when one generator has to do everything.
How long does the PBI9500X run on a tank?
Up to 9 hours on its 15 litre tank. That figure is at a moderate load with Eco mode on, which drops the engine speed when you are only drawing a few hundred watts. Flat out on a heavy load, expect less. Let it cool before refuelling and check the oil every tank, the low oil sensor will shut it down before damage is done.
How loud is the PBI9500X?
82 dB measured at 7 metres. That is a working site level, so place it away from where people are standing and point the exhaust away from the house. Eco mode brings the noise down further at light loads.
What outlets does it have and what plug do I need?
One 15 amp IP66 outlet and one 32 amp single phase IP66 outlet with RCD protection, plus two USB ports. The 32 amp outlet is the one an electrician wires to a house changeover switch. It has electric start from a lithium battery that holds charge for up to 24 months, with recoil backup.
Is the PBI9500X safe for laptops, TVs and battery chargers?
Yes. It is a pure sine wave inverter generator, so voltage and frequency stay steady and total harmonic distortion stays low. Phones, laptops, modern fridges, caravan controllers and cordless tool chargers run the way they do on mains power. A conventional generator cannot promise that.
How heavy is it and can one person move it?
65kg, on a heavy duty frame with a wheel kit and fold down handle included, so one person can wheel it across a yard or a site. Lifting it onto a ute is a two person job.
Does it come with a warranty and spare parts in New Zealand?

It ships by freight on a pallet to any address in New Zealand. Orders over $200 are free to most urban addresses, and heavy, rural or island deliveries may carry a freight charge that shows at checkout. Delivery is kerbside, so have a second person or a trolley ready. South Island addresses usually see it in two working days from dispatch, North Island two to three.
