What are the drawer sizes on the RMS6142 3 drawer and big lid chest?
Three deep full width drawers at 567 x 400 x 75mm, plus a lift up lid on gas struts with a large open compartment underneath for drills, grinders, chargers and anything that does not fit a drawer.
How much weight will the drawers take?
35kg per drawer on full extension ball bearing slides, so a drawer full of sockets opens all the way and closes square. Put the heaviest tools low and the ones you use most at waist height.
Does it lock?
Yes. An internal central locking system with keys locks every drawer with one turn. Drawer liners are fitted, so tools do not slide or rattle.
What are the dimensions and weight?
685mm wide, 580mm deep, 445mm high, 32.7kg. Steel is 1.0mm drawers and 1.2mm body, which is heavier gauge than most hardware store boxes.
What goes under the lid?
Power tools. The lid compartment is deep enough for a drill, an impact driver, a grinder and their chargers, with the gas struts holding it open while you dig. It is the chest for people whose cordless kit has outgrown the drawers.
Does it fit on the 5 drawer roller cabinet?
Yes. It is sized for the RMS6143 5 drawer cabinet, and the pair is sold together as the RS4243 combo at a lower price than the two separately.
How is it delivered?
It ships by freight on a pallet to any address in New Zealand. Orders over $200 are free to most urban addresses, and heavy, rural or island deliveries may carry a freight charge that shows at checkout. Delivery is kerbside, so have a second person or a trolley ready. South Island addresses usually see it in two working days from dispatch, North Island two to three.
What if I change my mind?
You have 30 days from delivery to request a change-of-mind return, as long as it is unused and in the original packaging. On heavy freight items the return freight is at your cost, and the original freight is deducted from the refund.
