Can I buy a single spanner to replace a lost one?

What does ring and open end mean?
One end is a closed ring that grips all six corners of the nut, the other is an open jaw that slides on from the side. Use the ring end to crack a nut loose and the open end to spin it off quickly. Combination spanner is the other name for the same tool.
Which spanner sizes do I use most?
10, 12, 13, 14 and 17mm on vehicles, with 8 and 19mm close behind. Those are the sizes that walk off and need replacing. In imperial, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16 and 5/8 inch do most of the work on American and older machinery.
Polished or raised panel spanners?
