An adjustable hacksaw for cutting metal pipe, bar stock, threaded rod, conduit, and other materials that need a fine-tooth cut. The adjustable frame fits standard hacksaw blades and tensions them properly for a clean, straight cut without blade flex. Blade flex is what causes wandering cuts and broken blades — a properly tensioned frame makes a real difference to cutting accuracy and blade life.
The adjustable design means you can fit different blade lengths and replace blades when they dull. Dull hacksaw blades don't cut — they're just slow and frustrating. At this price, it's worth buying a pack of blades with the saw and swapping them out regularly rather than fighting through a cut with a worn blade.
