What equipment does a home workshop need?

What is the safest way to work under a car?
Lift it on a trolley jack on flat concrete, then lower it onto axle stands rated above the vehicle weight and give it a shove before you crawl under. Never rely on the jack alone. A 2 tonne jack and a pair of 3 tonne stands cover most cars and utes.
