Weldco WDC0807 Chipping Hammer 500gm

A 500g chipping hammer for slag removal after stick welding. Every pass you lay down with a stick electrode leaves a slag coating over the weld bead. You need to chip that off before you inspect the weld or lay the next pass — and that's what this tool is for.

The pointed end gets into the weld zone and breaks slag loose. The chisel end knocks off flat slag sections. The handle is wrapped for grip and keeps the heat from the hammer head away from your hand. It's a simple tool with one job, but it's one you'll use every single time you pick up a stick welder.

Sold individually, so it's easy to replace when the chisel end wears down or you need a spare for the second machine.
